Please fast 9-12 hours prior to the draw. Consider bringing a snack for after the draw. Blood will not be drawn after 8 a.m.
Registration is required. Notice of cancellation must be received 72 hours prior to class start date for a complete refund. If received less than 72 hours, a fee of 50 percent of the class up to $10 will be retained for administrative costs. This fee will be waived if cancellation is due to a medical emergency or St. Luke's cancels the class.
Handouts on a variety of heart-related topics will also be available. Lab results will be mailed to participants when they become available (usually a day or two after blood draw). A registered nurse (RN) will call and counsel over the phone if results come in and require immediate attention.
