Our broad scope of primary care services includes the diagnosis and treatment of conditions such as heart disease and hypertension, kidney disease, gastrointestinal problems, allergies, cancer, infections, and anemia. We also help manage depression, diabetes and thyroid disease, lung problems such as asthma and emphysema, neurological problems such as strokes as seizures, and nutritional concerns. If your health issues require specialized care, we’ll help refer you to the appropriate specialist.

Lea K. Bowman, LCSW, C-SWHC is a behavioral health care manager and has worked extensively with adults in the acute medical setting, partnering with people facing challenges adjusting to acute and chronic medical illness, anxiety and depression disorders, and substance use disorders.
Lea has a special interest in working with anxiety disorders and collaborating with her patients as they find a way to bring forth their best and most authentic selves. She strives to bring warmth and presence to her practice and thrives on making each person feel safe and cared for during their time with her.
Lea earned her bachelor's degree in both sociology and anthropology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She earned her master's degree in social work from Boise State University.
Jessica Bruce, NP is an adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner with more than 10 years of experience working with older adults and their families.
Jessica earned her undergraduate degree in gerontology from Central Washington University, and both her bachelor's and master's degrees in nursing from the University of Pennsylvania.
Jodie Donovan, MD practices adult general internal medicine, providing care for a wide range of conditions including acute care, management of chronic disease, and preventive care. She served as chief resident at the Boise VA Medical Center.
Brittany Matthews, FNP-BC specializes in adult health and is nationally certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Brittany earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from Georgia Perimeter College and her master's degree in nursing from Walden University.
Samantha Millspaugh, PA-C is a certified physician assistant through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Samantha earned her bachelor's degrees in health science and Spanish from Boise State University, and her master's degree in physician assistant studies from Idaho State University.
Michael C. Pelton, MD is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and an associate member of the American College of Physicians. He earned his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Rice University.
Laura Senderowicz, LCSW, has professional interest in the treatment of mood, anxiety, and substance use disorders; and the use of mindfulness-based techniques to optimize both physical and mental wellness. In her current role, she provides brief counseling that supports patients’ own abilities to solve problems and to engage in behaviors that will help improve quality of life.
Laura received both her bachelor's and master's degrees from Boise State University.
Alex M. Tanabe, MD specializes in adult primary care and internal medicine, providing care for a diverse patient population. Her work as a generalist helps her combine physical, mental, and social well-being while also fostering a strong doctor-patient relationship. She favors open and honest communication in order to create an individualized care plan. She works to create long-lasting partnerships with her patients with the goal of a healthy and happy life.
In her free time, Dr. Tanabe enjoys spending time with family and embarking on outdoor adventures with her husband and dog.
Phyllis Tezeno-Burris, MSN, FNP-BC is a board certified nurse practitioner. She provides primary, acute, and chronic care to patients of all ages. She works to help her patients maintain health and wellness with a particular focus on preventive medicine.
Phyllis earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from California State University, Long Beach and her master's degree from UCLA. She also has a sub-specialty in neuropsychiatric nursing. In her free time, Phyllis enjoys hiking, biking, SUP boarding, country music, suspense novels, and spending time with her family.
Roger Turcotte, MD specializes in primary care for adults, including treatment of high blood pressure, hepatitis C, and cardiovascular disease. He is also a diabetologist and sees patients at the St. Luke's Humphreys Diabetes Center by referral. Dr. Turcotte earned his bachelor's degree in biology from Gonzaga University, and is a member of the clinical faculty at the University of Washington School of Medicine and frequently works with third-year medical students rotating through Boise as part of their training.
