At St. Luke’s Children’s Pediatrics, our team of pediatricians is dedicated to building a relationship with your family to support your child’s health, every step of the way. Each of our physicians is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and specializes in the needs of infants, children, and adolescents.

    Weekend hours are available by appointment at our Parkcenter Blvd location in Boise. One of our physicians will always be on call. If you need to inquire about your child's illness or injury when our office is closed, please call (208) 345-0715 and follow the prompts to leave a message for a triage nurse. In most cases, we will be able to respond to your call within 2 hours. If the physician needs to be involved, the triage nurse will contact him or her for you. Please limit your calls to urgent problems that cannot wait until office hours. We recommend that you take your child to the emergency room for emergencies only.

Our symptom checker offers educational information on various conditions, and provides advice regarding home care or first aid, when appropriate, as well as instructions on when you may need to call your provider, call 911, or go to an emergency department. It also offers dosage tables for common over-the-counter drugs.

The information in our symptom checker is designed with patient safety as the highest priority. Each care guide is reviewed by physicians, specialists and nurses for accuracy.

She received a master's degree in nursing, family nurse practitioner, from Idaho State University. She is an experienced pediatric registered nurse. Shauna is married with one daughter and her hobbies include camping, swimming, biking, and spending time with family.

    Mindy B. Gaddis, MD, FAAP earned bachelor's degrees in chemistry and psychology at the University of Utah. She is the medical director of St Luke's Children's Childhood Obesity Program. Dr. Gaddis job shares with Dr. Noreen Womack and is accepting established families only. She is married with two daughters, and two Labrador retrievers. Her hobbies include baking, knitting, cycling, trail running, and skiing.

    Ben H. Godfrey, MD, FAAP received a bachelor's degree in Greek with a minor in philosophy from Brigham Young University. He currently serves as the medical director of St. Luke's Children's – Treasure Valley Pediatrics, and was formerly the chief pediatric resident at the University of Utah/Primary Children's Medical Center. He is also a clinical associate professor in the department of pediatrics at the University of Washington. 

    He is accepting newborns and new patients on a limited basis.

    Dr. Godfrey is married with four kids. His hobbies include fly fishing, scouting, family activities, and reading.

    John W. Hanks, DO, FAAP is a pediatrician with professional interest in eating disorders and adolescent medicine. He earned his bachelor's degree in biology from Truman State University. He went to medical school at A.T. Still University of Osteopathic Medicine and completed a fellowship in adolescent medicine at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center. He is accepting newborns and new patients on a limited basis.

    Kim King, NP enjoys creating a trusting, healing, and preventive approach to providing care for children. She earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from Boise State University and her master's degree in nursing with an emphasis on pediatric primary care from the University of South Alabama. Prior to earning her advanced degree, Kim worked as a registered nurse in St. Luke's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the outpatient Children's Specialty Clinic.

    Kim is a Boise native and enjoys spending time with her husband and children. Her hobbies include camping, traveling, and her kids' sporting events. She enjoys traveling and hiking in the Sawtooth and White Cloud mountain ranges.

    Biography

    Lauren Miller, MD, MPH provides care for all aspects of maternal-fetal medicine, and has special interests in optimizing women’s health prior to conception, the care of pregnancies after bariatric surgery, and managing substance use disorders during pregnancy. She enjoys working with women and their families to plan and achieve the healthiest pregnancy possible despite any other medical conditions.

    She has expertise in performing both transvaginal and transabdominal Chorionic Villus Sampling (CVS) for early genetic diagnosis. She also has expertise in performing amniocentesis and percutaneous fetal blood sampling (PUBS).

    Dr. Miller is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is an active member of ACOG and has served as a junior fellow chair in both districts 2 and 8.
